Plane hits building in NYC
Oct. 11th, 2006 08:56 pmI was in NYC on September 11, so it's always disconcerting to hear of another plane hitting a highrise building in the city. Especially when it's in my own neighborhood, less than half a mile from my home. It's really strange to see your own street on TV when it's about a disaster.
The good news is that it was a small plane (two to four people) hitting an apartment complex and that it looks like an accident.
It's disconcerting, though - when I heard of the first plane crash early in the morning on 9/11, we all thought it was an accident. So everybody at work (in a NYC skyscraper, next to the water) ran to the TV, opened up web browsers, called loved ones and started reliving the events of five years ago.
