It's been a long, looong week at work. There's this internal customer I am handling, who's been getting really good service - fast response to requests, lots of attention, good advice, external consultants, the works. And then he turns around and complains of bad service to my boss - not CC'ing me.

If I didn't work for a great manager, who trusts me, knows the work I do is high-quality, and shares this kind of thing with me, I'd have been so fucked. Even so, it''s been a pretty depressing week.

We agreed months ago that this customer, once their development phase is over, will be handed over to the normal support staff, not dedicated engineering support from me. Instead of sending a short email and working with me, they will have file a ticket, wait for several days, and deal with people who are not intimate with every detail of their application, the history, custom settings, and various stupid mistakes they've made that we now have to work around.

The magic date is two weeks from now. I can't wait - and the customer is in for a rude awakening. Karma payback time...
