Unexpected consequences: white food only
Mar. 23rd, 2006 08:15 pmOne my my birthday gifts for Heidi was to have her teeth whitened. No, I didn't think it was necessary - her teeth are perfectly okay; and yes, I know we're supporting the Teeth Whitening Industrial Complex with all the horrible ads on TV, but hey... you have to give a girl what she wants.
Anyway - she had the works done today (lasers were involved, that's as much as I know) and her teeth are going to be ouchy for the next day or so. But here's the kicker - in order to avoid stains, she has to eat white and clear food only for the first 24 hours. That rules out coffee, most sodas, and most types of food w eat on a daily basis.
So while she sticks to pasta and white bread (turkey is okay, mustard is not), I am eating a nice Mexican salad (tomatoes, guacamole, lettuce, cheese - all are forbidden) and trying very hard not to grin openly. And failing....
